Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

Yummy Narrow Ribbons

One of the most common Italian foods is pasta. The types of pasta are numerous, in fact, phenomenal! One is not limited to true Italian pastas but also those that have become Americanized. Linguine, fettuccine, spaghetti, tortellini, ziti…Oh my!, pastas, sauces and recipes are virtually endless. For today, the celebration is focusing on one particular type of pasta.

September 15 is...

National Linguine Day

A typical Italian eats about over 60 lbs of pasta a year whereas an American eats round 20 lbs. Of course, the pasta is not served naked! Quote Fried Green Tomatoes, "Secret's in the sauce!" As mentioned above, sauces and recipes are endless. Here a but a few from which one just might just tempt your pallet today.
