Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

Getting Around Our Country

Sometimes we just need to stop and take a look around our country: America the Beautiful. Enjoy the wildlife and the scenery. While taking a look, remember that we have the freedom to travel to any part of our nation at any time with anyone we so desire. Can this be said for every country in the world?

Always remember, never forget:
America fought for freedom.
America won!

  1. Yes, let's enjoy it while we can before they tear down all the trees to put up condos or shopping centers.

  2. Sharla, We do have one of the most beautiful countries in the world and plenty to see. I agree with the other commenter-Condos, shopping malls, banks, federal buildings seem to compete with size so our views of once was are also quickly disappearing.
Take look around America and love what we have while you can.

    1. When I was a child, our family visited Panama City Beach and Clearwater, Florida. We stayed in cabins right on the water. I haven't been to Clearwater in years but lived almost 30 years in Panama City Beach. I slowly watched the frontage of a once beautiful beach landscape be overcome with highrise building and condos. Now you cannot even see the water unless you rent a condo. Now that is sickening!

    1. As others have said, we better do just that while we can! So much of the natural life is fast disappearing!
